Bringing back the shine to a hospitality career

In his first full-length interview as SHATEC’s new Chief Executive Officer, hotelier Mr Lim Boon Kwee shared with TTG Asia his foremost thoughts in educating and nurturing hospitality talents. He is keeping a razor-sharp focus on attuning a future-proof hospitality education to the prospect of alluring career journeys in the industry.
A defining way to do this is through the Mentoring@SHATEC programme: industry mentors guide and encourage students in their aspirations for their next job in the industry.
Mr Lim shared, "I will also take on the role of mentor and guide [our] students. I enjoy teaching and sharing what I've learnt, and I believe that doing so will help our industry attract and grow talents and ultimately prosper."
