Course Description
This course aims to equip you with the essential knowledge and skills for the preparation of espresso based beverages.
You will be exposed to the techniques of expresso extraction, inclusive of espresso grinder calibration, milk texturing techniques and basic maintenance of the espresso machine and grinder.
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Calibrate the espresso grinder
- Extract espresso
- Texture milk to the desired texture and temperature
- Prepare espresso based beverage
- Perform basic maintenance of the espresso machine & grinder
Who Should Attend
You should be able to speak and read in English.
You are highly encouraged to complete Coffee 101 before taking this course and/or have prior basic understanding of specialty coffee.

Assessment:
There will be a practical assessment.
Certificate:
Upon successful completion of the programme, you will receive a SHATEC Certificate of Achievement.
