Our Higher Diploma in Hospitality Management – specially designed for hosts from the Diploma in Hotel Management or Diploma in Tourism Management programmes – will provide you with an authoritative study of the industry whilst honing your managerial, operational and developmental capabilities.

This advanced course will include various opportunities to develop understanding and insights into the complex range of management, marketing, public relations, human capital development and hospitality operational functions of the industry. Alongside your study of fundamental management subjects, you will also be introduced to issues and challenges encountered by the operation, development and management of hospitality and tourism establishments.

The programme features a holistic preparatory curriculum that will equip you with the tools, knowledge and skills to complement your existing proficiencies and prepare you for any future responsibilities in the field of hospitality.

On an average 1: 40 teacher-to-student ratio (theory) and 1:20 teacher-to-student ratio (practical)

Delivery Method and Duration

The curriculum is taught over 2 terms of 10 to 12 weeks, each with a 1 to 2 week break between terms, and provides an average of 555 hours over 2 terms.

6 months Institutional Training
*Internship component for all international students is subject to Singapore government law and regulations.

Entry Requirements

Local and International Applicants:

Succesful attainment of Shatec Institutes Diploma in Hotel Management / Diploma in Tourism Management
Achieve a minimum of GPA 2.5
Pass in Internship and successful interview with Shatec Institutes

Graduation and Degree

Students who successfuly completed the programme will be awarded the Higher Diploma in Hospitality Management by Shatec Institutes. Graduates may choose to pursue Bachelor degree programmes in our partner universities and institutions.
