The purpose of an assessment is to help hosts learn and develop a range of skills to prepare them for their future. A variety of assessment methods are used in different disciplines. Typically, they will be appraised through theory and practical examinations, practical exercises, presentations, written assignments, projects, class participation and an internship. The internship component will be assessed through the close monitoring of their performance and include the evaluation of their internship log book, which hosts submit at the end of their stint.

For hosts in the Diploma in Hotel Management and Diploma in Tourism Management programmes, a compulsory academic exercise must also be undertaken. More information will be provided during your consultation with the Sales and Marketing department.
