Examinations and assessments help hosts learn and develop a range of skills to prepare them for their future. A variety of assessment methods are used in different disciplines. Typically, they will be appraised through theory and practical examinations, practical exercises, presentations, written assignments, projects, class participation and internship. The internship component will be assessed through the close monitoring of their performance and the evaluation reflected in their internship log book, which hosts must submit at the end of their stint. For hosts in the Diploma in Hotel Management and Diploma in Tourism Management programmes, a compulsory academic exercise must also be undertaken. More information is provided during their programme consultation.
The Curriculum and Continuous Assessment (CCA) department overseas, records and reports the assessment data of all hosts at Shatec Institutes. All enquiries regarding your examinations, transcripts and certificates can be made by contacting as at exams@shatec.sg.
