The SHATEC INdustry Excellence (SHINE) Awards celebrates the achievements of individuals who has made significant contributions towards the school and industry with impactful outcomes, particularly in the areas of learning and talent development.
The SHINE Awards comprises of three categories of recognition:
All nominations will be evaluated by a panel of judges formed by the SHATEC Board, the SHATEC Management, the SHATEC Alumni Committee and other independent representatives of the industry.
Make A Nomination
The SHATEC Outstanding Alumni Award recognises and celebrates the achievements of SHATEC graduates, both professionally and personally. It recognises their outstanding contributions to their profession, community and the advancement of the industry.
This category is open to public, corporate or self-nominations.
To be an eligible nominee, he/she must have first graduated from SHATEC at least five (5) years prior to the year of nomination. The individual should have demonstrated significant and influential achievements in the years after graduation both in the industry and communities beyond.

The SHATEC Industry Mentor Award recognises and honours outstanding mentors who have actively participated in the Industry Mentorship Programme @SHATEC. The award acknowledges the time and dedication the mentor has put in to create a successful mentor-mentee relationship and make an invaluable contribution towards developing new talents for the industry.
To be an eligible nominee, the mentor should have completed at least three (3) successful cycles of the Industry Mentorship Programme @SHATEC.
The SHATEC Lifetime Achievement Award is an honorific title conferred to distinguished individuals who have dedicated their lives to being visionary leaders and role models in the hospitality industry.
The recipient of this award will be an individual who has made an enduring and profound difference to the hospitality industry, community and the careers and/or lives of others. He/She constantly strives toward the highest levels of personal and professional accomplishment, excelling in his/her chosen fields, devoting time and energy to his/her community in meaningful ways. He/She is also an exemplary role model who forges paths of leadership in hospitality for others to follow.
